Allow me to set the scene. I'm in Vienna, Austria, for a big international dermatology conference. I'm there with my father ("Dr. GoldnI" for our purposes) who does a lot of research with dermatological lasers, and is going to give a big lecture at this conference about how they can now use lasers to treat your acne, your unwanted facial hair, your rosacea, and pretty much anything that's wrong with your skin. I was already in London, so my dad decided I should come with him to Vienna. I was in the middle of studying for my exams at my London uni, but I'd never been to Vienna, I really wanted some sachertorte, and you always get tons of free skin care samples at these conferences.
Our second night there, we go out to dinner with some of my father's business associates, other people involved in the laser industry. Many of them are Israeli, since that's where most of the lasers are made. However, there are others...from Turkey, from Lebanon, from Dubai, from Kuwait, and from Saudi Arabia. The lasers might be made in Israel, but the demand for them comes from the rest of the Middle East.
